How to Update Device Drivers
There are two ways to update drivers.
Option 1: Update drivers automatically
The Driver Update Utility for Acer devices is intelligent software which automatically recognizes your computer’s operating system and Camera model and finds the most up-to-date drivers for it. There is no risk of installing the wrong driver. The Driver Update Utility downloads and installs your drivers quickly and easily.
You can scan for driver updates automatically and install them manually with the free version of the Driver Update Utility for Acer, or complete all necessary driver updates automatically using the premium version.
Tech Tip: The Driver Update Utility for Acer will back up your current drivers for you. If you encounter any problems while updating your drivers, you can use this feature to restore your previous drivers and configuration settings.
Double-click on the program to run it. It will then scan your computer and identify any problem drivers. You will see a results page similar to the one below:
Click the Update button next to your driver. The correct version will be downloaded and installed automatically. Or, you can click the Update All button at the bottom to automatically download and install the correct version of all the drivers that are missing or out-of-date on your system.
Before updating, use the built-in driver backup feature to save your current drivers to a specified folder. Use this backup folder to safely restore drivers if necessary:

Естественно, что для нормальной работы вашей Web-камеры нужно установить на нее драйвера. Вот примерный порядок действий:

Примечание: в случае с камерами значение поля VEN (VID) не всегда точно указывает на производителя.
3) скачиваем драйвера для вашей камеры по данным ссылкам: скачать / скачать и скачать / скачать (более старая версия) скачать / скачать (для камер Logitech) и устанавливаем из папки с именем производителя вашей камеры драйвер и программу. Вот и все.
4) Если у вас не получилось установить драйвер, он не подошел или он работает со сбоями, то придется ставить драйвер вручную. Вот здесь и пригодится вам ваша строка с VID и PID. Ниже будут идти ссылки на драйвера. Возле них указаны значения VID и PID для которых они подходят. Находите свой, скачиваете его, распаковываете и устанавливаете. Если у вас возникли проблемы с поиском драйвера, то в вопросе обязательно указывайте строку с VID и PID. Она имеет примерно такой вид VID_04F2&PID_B084
Проблемы с работоспособностью камеры
Иногда бывают случаи, когда система камеру не видит. То есть ее не удается найти ни через Диспетчер устройств, ни через утилиты вроде Everest.
Основными причинами такого поведения могут быть:
1) глюк системы, сбои в работе энергосбережения или драйверов.
2) выход из строя самой камеры, шлейфа или просто плохой контакт в разъемах.
Как же определить что с камерой? Если повредился шлейф или сама камера, то нужно разбирать ноутбук или сразу нести в сервисный центр. Если это глюк системы, то можно и в домашних условиях переставить ее, попробовать поиграться с подбором драйверов. Как же поступить?
И вот тут на помощь приходит Linux. Нам подойдет любой дистрибутив. Я предпочитаю Ubuntu. Скачиваете ее образ, записываете его на диск, загружаетесь с него и запускаете терминал. Эти все манипуляции детально описаны в данном руководстве: Быстрая диагностика неисправностей ноутбука.

Другие проблемы с камерой
Иногда случается, что изображение с камеры тормозит. Обычно решение данной проблемы стоит начинать с смены драйверов камеры. Если это не помогло, то имеет смысл поэкспериментировать с кодеками, поставить или удалить K-Lite Codec Pack, прочие наборы кодеков.

TrevelMate 5623 со встроеной камерой 1,3 после того как снес систему и попытался установить заново долго воевал благодоря местным жителям почти всё заработало.
осталось проблемма с камерой.
при запуске камеры пишет что камера не конект. пр нескольких попытках сделать переподключение пишет что Camera is unplugged please connect the camaer to the computer. и картинку рисует мол usb порт надо потключить.
скажите братки что сделать то надо

how do I download the Crystal Eye Webcam application
I had to redo my laptop and I cannot find the how do I download the Crystal Eye Webcam application. Can I download the software? I do have the drivers but not the application.

Thnak you and I have done this, however Ihave seen software using the webcam, but that software is not loaded when the drivers are installed so how does one use the webcam?

I can’t find it for your model either.
Assuming you have the correct driver installed (there are three) and Windows shows it as working correctly, I would simply check other models for the application and try the first one you find for your OS. It should run ok.
